Commuting Time

Singapore is a small city and commuting in modern air-conditioned public transport means is short, comfortable and above all safe. Below is a list of apartments and condominiums in walking distance to Singapore MRT stations. Some stations can be reached by the local bus plus feeder.

You should make yourself familiar with the progress of 29 new Circle line stations currently under construction. 16 new stations will be opened beginning of 2010 and will bring the MRT to many new residential areas. This is opening up new properties formely not considered as interesting by expatriates living in Singapore. See below for more info.

 

SMRT

SMRT operates two main rail lines, the North South Line (NS) which runs from Marina Bay Station to Jurong East Station via Woodlands Station, and the East West Line (EW)which runs from Pasir Ris Station to Boon Lay Station.

You can connect to the North East Line (NE) by changing trains at Dhoby Ghaut Station of Outram Park Station.

At Tanah Merah Station (EW4) you can connect to The Singapore Changi Airport Express and the Singapore Expo Center.

Bus Plus

Use the Bus Plus services to connect to the MRT stations and the financial centre.. In sophisticated Singapore you can even check the arrival of your bus via your mobile with Bus Plus Smart.

Click the map to view all stations. The Light Rail Transit (LRT) is the localised rail systems with three lines acting as feeder services to the Mass Rapid Transit network.

Bishan and Serangoon stations are interchange stations and commuters can transfer to the north-south line at Bishan and change to the north-east line at Serangoon. 16 of the Circle Line stations will start operations progressively from 2010.
