There are 10 Golf Clubs in Singapore and another 10 in the region (Malaysia and Indonesia), which can be easily reached from Singapore. Recently prices for membership have come down substantially and vary between S$ 7,500 to S$ 160,000. SICC, TMCC and Sentosa are leading the list within Singapore while membership with Legends, a top club near Kulai Malaysia, costs S$ 11 000 in comparison.

Club memberships are traded via club membership brokers (such as Tee-up Marketing Enterprise or Active Golf Services) and some clubs offer "match-up" services which source buyers for members who want to sell. While membership brokers charge a flat commission of between S$ 500 and S$ 1,000 clubs do not charge a fee and the transfer fee of about S$ 3,000 is paid by the seller of the membership.

Compare the transfer fee and the membership fee. If both are at the same level, it is unlikely that you will suffer a big loos in the value of the membership in future.

Since December 2005 the prices for membership started to rise again. Rates at the top golf clubs may have changed.
